Sometimes our efforts to make changes in our lives succeed, sometimes they do not. If we try a number of times and still don't succeed, we can feel stuck. Psychotherapy is a process that can help get us "unstuck."
My approach to helping people make changes emphasizes building on client strengths and past successes. It also recognizes that new skills are often needed to begin moving forward. Working in partnership with my clients, a treatment plan is created that is adapted to their view of how people make changes and the particular difficulties that are challenging them. The type of psychotherapy I provide is time-limited and designed to address each individual’s or couples' goals, as well as their readiness to change.
